CEER welcomes invited visitors to CEER! CEER is a dedicated research center of the Cockrell School of Engineering located at the JJ Pickle Research Campus. For safety and security reasons, all visitors to CEER must always be escorted while in the building. Your host will provide additional details for your visit, but we hope the following will help you in planning a successful visit to our research center.

Tobacco Free – The University of Texas at Austin is a tobacco free environment. No smoking or use of tobacco is permitted on the JJ Pickle Research Campus.

Weapons – Please note that all of the CEER labs are weapon free zones due to the nature of the activities conducted in these labs.

Parking – You must purchase a parking permit at the kiosk along the street just outside our building and only park in designated spaces. Violators will be ticketed by UT Parking & Transportation Services.

Security – CEER is a controlled access facility, so your host will meet you in the lobby and provide access to building. Attire – If you will be visiting a lab with your host, you must comply with all UT lab safety requirements, which include no open toed shoes or shorts. Your host will ensure you have or will provide appropriate personal protective equipment for the lab(s) you visit.

Photographs & Filming – We understand the desire to take photos and to the extent possible we will comply with this desire. However, some filming and photography may require advance approvals. Please ask your host about the images you wish to capture, and they will ensure you have obtained all the necessary approvals before you arrive.

Access to the internet – If you need to access the internet while in the building, please let your host know and your host will make arrangements for this service in advance and provide instructions when you need to connect.

Children Visitors - If children under the age of 14 are brought to CEER, they must be supervised and always escorted by an adult. All children are prohibited from entering lab areas unless they are part of a tour approved by the Director's office.
